About

Shadow's approximate date of birth is March 31, 2020. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/Felv and he has a registered microchip. His adoption fee is $200.00 + tax. Official rescue name: Shadow Aka. Stache, Megaman, Haaaaandsome (there must be the extra A’s in there), Midi Really though, if you look at me, catch my eyes with yours and talk to me - you can call me whatever you want! Age: Great question – what do you think? (my foster momma thinks about 10 months) Hobbies: watching tv with my hooman (I like to sit closer to the tv than she does), playing with my ball-in-a-tube, hunting my toys, banging cupboard doors, napping on the heater, looking like a stud, splooting, talking back to my hooman, listening to my hooman read or sing to me, flying like superman through the curtains that separate rooms Favorite things ever: ball-in-a-tube thingy, the ball that is multicolored string that has a jingly thing inside (only that one), the red scrunchy ball (just the red one), chimken canned food, fresh dry food out of the bag, heating blankets, string cheese, steak, bits of cheese from a pizza, laser pointer I have my quirks – I’m NOT a fan of human touch. I think they have germs so I keep my social distancing protocols very strict. I do believe that their blanket, especially if it’s a warm one, will keep me safe from their germies – but only if they stay VERY still! My carrier is the scariest place in the world – it’s kind of a big deal to me when I need to get in it. Maybe you can find a less scary way for me if I need to travel. Oh and I HATE window tint, I will take it off no matter how much tape you use! I don’t really meow – I chirp. I chirp when I am looking for something, whether it’s finding my favorite toy, my current BFF, or locating my hoomans. Momma says my meow must be a bad voiceover because I open my mouth, a second later is when I make my noise. She loves it – says it’s her favorite thing about me. I’m just a quiet yet animated dude! I love other animals – I will snuggle with another kitty and probably another dog (haven’t been around one but won’t rule them out), as long as they are just as passive and quiet as I am. I can be their new BFF!! The fishtank is my favorite thing to watch – make sure that lid is on tight because the fishy does look like a snack!! I love the ladies <3 I warm up quicker to play with girls more than other boys. I might even enjoy interacting with an older child who understands that I really don’t like to be petted but I LOVE to play! And I love to be read to. I’m a GREAT listener! I even listen to momma and her bad singing without running away! My bedtime is right around 10pm or when the lights go out. When the lights come back on I get to play ALL day! I don't really stay up late at night or wake up momma. I get to eat whenever I want during the day, so you don’t have to worry about me telling you it’s time to feed me. I don’t chew on things like most kittens and I have fantastic litterbox skills – I try to dig to China and manage to cover EVERYTHING! I come with lots of toys, my favorite litter box system (Litter Breeze), and my favorite scratching post. It’ll probably take me a little bit of time to be okay with my new place but as long as you have windows for me to watch the birdies. Or if you put on YouTube for kitties – Paul Dinning has the most fantastic videos for me! Saving Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) is a 501(c)3 registered no-kill, non profit animal rescue. All animals are placed in loving foster homes until their forever family finds them. Because there is not a physical shelter location, foster homes are needed to help rescue local animals who are in danger of euthanasia. If you would be interested in fostering an animal in need, please complete a foster application at savingtails.org
